Privacy Policy

The short version: Bridgecall is peer-to-peer and end-to-end encrypted. We do not record, store, or sell your call audio, video, or translated content. Your conversations are yours.

3. How Your Calls Work (Peer-to-Peer)

Bridgecall uses WebRTC technology. Your audio and video travel directly between participants โ€” it does not pass through our servers. We use signalling servers only to establish the initial connection (like exchanging phone numbers before a call). Once connected, your media is peer-to-peer and end-to-end encrypted by WebRTC's built-in DTLS-SRTP encryption.

Translation is processed server-side by our AI pipeline (Groq / Llama 3.3 and ElevenLabs), but we do not log or store the translated text. Each request is processed in memory and discarded.

We retain your account data (email, usage stats) for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently erase your data within 30 days, except where required for legal or financial compliance (e.g., payment records kept 7 years).

OTP codes expire after 10 minutes and are deleted within 24 hours. Session tokens expire after 30 days.

We use localStorage (not cookies) to store your session token and preferences. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security practices: HTTPS for all connections, bcrypt password hashing for admin accounts, rate limiting on all API endpoints, and parameterised queries to prevent SQL injection.

10. Children's Privacy

Bridgecall is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our service evolves. We will notify registered users by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
